Shulou(Shulou.com)06/03 Report--

Following on, we introduced the configuration of email alert notifications for SCOM 2016 above, and we have successfully created subscribers.

Next, let's talk about how to connect the subscriber to the notification channel, at which point we need to create a subscription.

At this time, people will say, SCOM2016 is really cumbersome, one moment is a notification channel, another is a subscriber, another is a subscription, is it playing a word game?

It's really roundabout, and I'm not used to it at first, but after a closer understanding, this kind of logic is actually more suitable for management and combination. You can think of "subscription" as a glue that connects subscribers and notification channels, which makes it clearer.

OK, don't talk much nonsense, keep going!

Similarly, in the "Administration" function bar, right-click "subscription" and "New subscription" under "Notification"

It's still the same old pattern. Enter the subscription name first to make it easier for me to do the test here in the future.

After clicking on the next step, we can see that let's set the matching conditions to trigger the subscription. There are a lot of people to choose according to their own needs.

Because I am only testing the shutdown alarm here, select the condition of "specify severity". After selecting, click the "specify" blue font below to select the specific severity type.

Here is a special note, before my test went wrong here, we must remember!

Only when you turn off the server (Win Server 2012) will there be a serious Critical alarm, while when you turn off the client operating system (win7 win10), there will only be Warning alarm, so it depends on the type of monitoring you need to monitor.

I only do server shutdown here, so I only choose the "serious" type.

Next, the system allows us to select subscribers, which is clearly a combination of the above subscribers, click add, and select the previously created "subscriber"

The next step is to select "Channel" and continue to glue the channel.

Finally, confirm the setting information of the notification subscription and click finish.

Next, we need to set up one more thing: SCOM notifies the account to be established.

In fact, this account can be understood as a service account, which is specially authorized for notification. I searched other articles. It is said that this account does not require much permission, but an ordinary domain account can.

In the Administration function area, under run Mode configuration, find configuration File, find Notification account on the right, and double-click

Click next

Click to create a new account

Enter the display name and the information of the subsequent domain account

In the Distribution Security option, select High Security, and then create it.

Next, select the account you just created.

Click our account to bind and configure.

In the Distribution tab, select SCOM Native

After clicking search, select the host SCOM, click "add", and then click OK

In this way, our running configuration account has been created.

Next we try to shut down a "server". Note that only shutting down the server triggers a "critical" warning and SCOM triggers a mail action.

Shut down a virtual server

We can see that we have received the email!

At this point, SCOM 2016 configuration alarm mail function to discuss with you here, I hope it will be helpful to you, thank you!
