On October 8, 2019, the China artificial Intelligence Society (CAAI), the only national society in the field of intelligent science and technology in China, officially announced the co-selection list of members of the Chinese artificial Intelligence Society (CAAI Fellow) in 2019. 11 scientists from academia and industry, including Dr. Shen Xiangyang of Microsoft, Professor Sun Fuchun of Tsinghua University, Dr. JD.com he Xiaodong, Professor Huang Tiejun of Peking University, and Zong Chengqing researcher of Institute of Automation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, are on the public list.

Shen Xiangyang

Shen Xiangyang, currently executive vice president of Microsoft, academician of the American Academy of Engineering, world-class expert in computer vision and graphics research, IEEE Fellow and ACM Fellow, was a member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Computational Vision, and served as the agenda chair of the 2007 International Conference on computer Vision. He mainly focuses on computer vision, graphics, human-computer interaction, statistical learning, pattern recognition and robotics.

Sun Fuchun

Ma Huadong

Ma Huadong is currently the executive dean of the Institute of Network Technology of Beijing University of posts and Telecommunications and the director of the Beijing key Laboratory of Intelligent Communication Software and Multimedia. He is a specially appointed professor of the Yangtze River Scholars of the Ministry of Education in 2011, the chief scientist of the National 973 Project "basic Research on the Architecture of the Internet of things", and a national candidate for "10 million talents Project in the New Century". Zhang Qin

Zhang Qin, double professor and doctoral supervisor of Tsinghua University, former vice chair of China Association for Science and Technology, academician of International Nuclear Energy Institute, director of uncertainty artificial Intelligence Special Committee of Chinese artificial Intelligence Society. He established the dynamic uncertain causality Diagram (Dynamic Uncertain Causality Graph) artificial intelligence model and successfully applied it to on-line condition monitoring, fault prediction, fault diagnosis and development prediction of nuclear power plants. In July 2016, Professor Zhang Qin was elected academician of the International Nuclear Energy Institute.

Mainly engaged in the field of artificial intelligence, including deep learning, natural language processing, speech recognition, computer vision, information retrieval and multimodal intelligence.

Huang Tiejun

His main research interests are image recognition and video coding. He has hosted more than 10 national scientific research projects and published more than 120 academic papers.

Zong Chengqing

Zong Chengqing, researcher of Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, post professor and doctoral supervisor of Chinese Academy of Sciences, mainly engaged in natural language processing, machine translation, text data mining and man-machine dialogue. As a person in charge, he has presided over more than 10 projects such as National Natural Science Foundation projects, national "863" projects, supporting projects and international cooperative research projects, and has completed a number of national application and development projects in specific fields. It has published more than 150 academic papers, won more than 10 national invention patents, and won the first prize of Qian Weichang Chinese Information processing Science and Technology Award in 2014 and the second prize of the 2015 National Science and Technology Progress Award.

Liu Jingnan

Chen Songcan

Chen Songcan, professor and doctoral supervisor of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, IAPR Fellow. He has published more than 170 SCIE papers in international mainstream academic journals, including IEEE Translations, among which three papers published in the international authoritative journal "Pattern Recognition" won the biannual Best Paper nomination Award (Best paper Awards:Honorable Mentions), and one "Journal of computer Science" paper won one of the three excellent papers awards in 2010-2014. One paper won the best paper award from the 2016 International pattern recognition Conference (ICPR2016) "pattern recognition and Machine Learning track". According to Google Scholar, his paper has been cited more than 11000 times, with an H-index of 48. He was selected by Elsevier China High Citation Scholars list for four consecutive years from 2014 to 2017.

Wang Peizhuang

Wang Peizhuang, who graduated from the Mathematics Department of Beijing normal University in 1957, is now a special professor of Liaoning University of Engineering and Technology. He was one of the early initiators and academic leaders of fuzzy mathematics in China. He put forward the model and method of fuzzy shadow space theory. He wrote Fuzzy set Theory and its Application, Fuzzy set and Random set Shadow and so on. In 1989, he presided over the establishment of the first doctoral program in fuzzy mathematics in China. In 1988, he led the doctoral program of Beijing normal University to develop the second international fuzzy inference engine. Then, in 1988-1991, he led 27 institutions of higher learning in the United Nations of Beijing normal University to jointly complete the major project "Fuzzy Information processing and Fuzzy Computing system" of the National Natural Science Foundation.

Introduction to CAAI Fellow

As the highest academic honor for its members in the Chinese Society of artificial Intelligence, the selection of members of the Chinese Society of artificial Intelligence began in 2017 to encourage its members to continue to climb the heights of science and technology. and recognize its outstanding achievements in the field of artificial intelligence and its great contributions to the society.

In 2017, 53 academicians, including 22 academicians such as Li Deyi and Zhang cymbal, were selected in the first batch, and in 2018, 10 outstanding scientific and technological workers in the AI field and AI industry leaders were added, including Academician Chen Jie, President of Tongji University, Academician Dai Qionghai of Tsinghua University, Academician Wu Zhaohui, President of Zhejiang University, and so on. With the addition of 11 additional scientists this year, the size of CAAI Fellow's team has expanded to 74.
