First create a ConfigMap from a redis-config file

Curl-OL https://k8s.io/examples/pods/config/redis-configkubectl create configmap example-redis-config-- from-file=redis-config

Check the created ConfigMap:

Kubectl get configmap example-redis-config-o yaml

Now create a pod specification using the configuration data stored in ConfigMap:

Kubectl create-f https://k8s.io/examples/pods/config/redis-pod.yaml

In this example, the configuration volume is mounted on the redis-master. It uses path to add redis-config key to a file named redis.conf. Therefore, the file path for the redis configuration is / redis-master/redis.conf. Here, the image will look for the configuration file for redis master.

Use kubectl exec to enter pod and run the redis-cli tool to verify that the configuration is applied correctly
