Enter "regedit" in the run window to open the Group Policy Editor.

Change the value of the "Start" file on the right to 4.

After that, modify the binary data of "FailureActions" to change the number from 0010 to 0018 to the fifth to the right, and change the previous 01 to 00.

Then open the Group Policy Editor, open computer configuration-Administrative templates-windows components-windows updates, find "configuration automatic updates" on the right, set to "disabled", and save the application.

And continue to find "remove use all windows update features and access permissions" on the right and set it to enabled.

Now for the final step, type "taskschd.msc" in the run window to open the task scheduler. Click Microsoft-Windows-WindowsUpdate on the left, and set all the items shown to be disabled.

2. Disable Cortana Xiaona

Win10 Professional / Enterprise users who use Group Policy to completely disable the Cortana feature:

Press Win+r to call up and run, enter "gpedit.msc" to open the Group Policy Editor, and then open computer configuration-Administrative templates-Windows components-search.

Find allow Cortana in the right panel and set it to disabled.

For Win10 Home Edition users, completely disable the Cortana feature directly through the registry:

In Registry Editor, navigate to the following path:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SOFTWARE\ Policies\ Microsoft\ Windows

Create a new item named Windows Search.

Right-click the Windows Search item, create a new DWORD (32-bit) value named AllowCortana, and set its value to 0.

Third, reduce random startup programs

Use the CTRL + Shift + Esc keyboard shortcuts to open Task Manager. Select start, right-click an unnecessary random startup program, and select stop.

4. Close Windows Search

The function of Windows Search is to realize the fast search of files, and it is convenient for users to search the information in the hard disk.

But in retrospect, it seems that this feature has not been used in ordinary times, and most of today's computers are equipped with SSD, and the response time is a few milliseconds. If you rarely use this feature, or if you have a solid-state hard drive installed, the service can be banned.

In the service interface, find the "Windows Search" option, open its properties interface, change the startup type to "disabled", and then "OK".
