How do I use the inbox deployment image service and the management tool DISM? This problem may be often seen in our daily work. Through this question, I hope you can gain more. Let's take a look at the solution with the editor today.

Wait a minute, there is another way: Windows system built-in system repair tool "system File Checker", you might as well use it before reinstalling to see if it can solve the problem.

Note: the following operation requires a certain degree of computer knowledge, please make sure you can understand and then operate.

In the Windows system, when you encounter random errors, startup problems, or functions that do not work properly, it is likely that the system files are missing or corrupted. The "system File Checker" SFC, which was born for this reason, is a command-line tool that works by scanning system files completely and automatically downloading and restoring missing or damaged system files. Although it is a command line tool, it is actually very simple, as long as you copy a few pieces of code, and the feedback is all in Chinese.

Windows Vista, 7, 8, 10 all come with a system File Checker.

Routine operation

If only part of the function is abnormal, but the system can still run.

Click the start menu to enter CMD and run as an administrator

Windows 10,8,8.1 requires you to enter:

DISM.exe/Online / Cleanup-image / Restorehealth

Run the Inbox deployment Image Services and Management (DISM) tool. Windows Vista, 7 can skip this step.

Then enter:

Sfc/scannow

Run the system File Checker. It will start a full scan of system files.

The following information may be returned at the end of the scan:

1. Windows Resource Protection cannot find any integrity conflicts: indicates that no system files are lost or corrupted

2. Windows resource protection cannot perform the requested operation: it means that the scan cannot be completed in normal mode, and you need to enter safe mode.

3. Windows Resource Protection has found the corrupted file and successfully repaired it: it means that there is indeed a damaged or missing system file, and it has been successfully repaired.

4. Windows Resource Protection finds corrupted files but cannot repair some of them: this is very rare. Can restart the computer, run SFC again to try to scan and repair, if repeated scans can not fix the problem, there is no hurry, we will talk about it in more detail later.

Advanced operation

When the system has failed to boot properly, or when running SFC in the system cannot fix the problem, you can try offline repair.

If you can enter the system, restart the computer during setup-update and security-restore-advanced startup. If you cannot enter the system, you should automatically enter "safe mode". Of course, it's the same with you using WinPE.

After entering safe mode, troubleshooting-Advanced options-Command prompt opens the command prompt

Enter:

Diskpart

Boot disk tool

Then enter:

List volume

List all disks and write down the system partition drive letter, usually not C! Otherwise, you don't have to take a look at it! Please judge according to the partition size; write down the drive letter and enter exit to exit

Then enter:

Sfc / scannow / offbootdir= disk:\ / offwindir= disk:\ Windows

The disk changes according to your system partition drive letter. Here I am D. / offbootdir= in this code specifies the system partition drive letter; / offwindir= specifies the folder where Windows is installed.

Then wait for the repair to be completed and restart to see if the problem has been fixed.

Manual operation

If none of the above methods can solve the problem, you can also try to replace the missing or corrupted files manually, but you need to copy the intact files on a computer with the same system version.

Run CMD as an administrator and enter:

Findstr / c: "[SR]"% windir%\ Logs\ CBS\ CBS.log > "% userprofile%\ Desktop\ sfcdetails.txt"

This command generates a Sfcdetails.txt file on the desktop that contains the details of each system File Checker scan and contains unfixed errors. Ctrl + F search repair to locate manually

After finding the error file, you can use the search engine to check the location of the file, and then copy the error file to the C disk root directory of the computer that needs to be repaired to a normal computer of the same version (home version, professional version).

Then run CMD as an administrator again, and enter:

Takeown / f C:\ error file path icacls C:\ error file path / Grant Administrators:F

To get the administrator rights of the error file, here is:

Takeown / fC:\ Windows\ System32\ ActionCenter.dllicaclsC:\ Windows\ System32\ ActionCenter.dll / Grant Administrators:F

Then enter

Copy C:\ correct file name C:\ wrong file path

Replace the error file with the correct file; here is:

Copy C:\ ActionCenter.dll C:\ Windows\ System32\ ActionCenter.dll

Note: if the replacement fails, it means that this file is in use and can only end the process or enter safe mode or PE operation first. It is recommended that you run the system File Checker again to check file integrity after the replacement is complete.

This is the end of the inbox deployment image service and the use of the management tool DISM. I hope the above content can be of some help and learn more knowledge. If you like this article, you might as well share it for more people to see.
