What is VoLTE Voice Technology

VoLTE is the abbreviation of English Voice Over LTE, literal translation means that audio is transmitted through LTE network, so it can be seen that it is a voice technology. VoLTE is based on IMS service and 4G LTE network. Before further explaining the principles of VoLTE technology, it is necessary to understand the basic principles of mobile phone network.

2. Voice scheme of multimode dual standby single card.

The terminal resides in both 2G/3G and LTE, voice service is provided through 2G/3G, and data service is provided through LTE or 2G/3G. The disadvantage is that the mobile phone has high cost and high power consumption, but the network side changes are small, which can quickly provide the mobile phone terminal for commercial use. At present, most of the 4G mobile terminals are single-card dual-standby solutions.

3. VoLTE voice solution

VoLTE is Voice over LTE, as an IP data transmission technology, VoLTE does not need 2G/3G network, and all services are carried on 4G network, which can realize the unity of data and voice services in the same network. The most direct feeling to 4G users is that the waiting time for phone connection is shorter, as well as higher quality and more natural audio and video calls. Mainstream VoLTE flagship smartphones iPhone6 Plus, Huawei Mate7, Samsung S6 and HTC M8 all support VoLTE voice program.
