One of the good news after VMware released vRA 6.2.1 is that the remote console (VMRC) connection is back again. This time VMware implements this connection through an intermediate agent (Proxy). Just like the previous Director, users can connect to the virtual machine through VMRC and operate the virtual machine like a local operation after opening the console, which is extremely convenient. But which ports need to be open in order to use it perfectly.

This is the port communication requirement of the official technical document. In order to be able to use vRA through the public network and directly use VMRC to connect to virtual machines, http://pubs.vmware.com/vra-62/index.jsp#com.vmware.vra.install.doc/GUID-743FA588-1845-4CBE-92D0-208886DCAE4A.html must map ports 443 and 8444 of vRA Appliance (VMRC) and port 7444 of Identity Appliance (authentication). After the above port mapping, the public network accesses the full OK.
