In the early hours of this morning, Google 2022 Android Beta O developer Conference was held. As a highlight, Google 13 Beta 2 version was released, which is open to upgrades for "own son" Pixel devices.

At the same time, the previous version, that is, Android 13 Beta 1, has also been opened to third-party manufacturers for the first time, among which the domestic brands have confirmed and announced the brushing package:

Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Pro, Xiaomi Plate 5 and Redmi K50 Pro, OPPO Find N, OPPO Find X5 Pro, one plus 10 Pro, realme GT2 Pro.

Android 13 is also known as Android T, and the internal code name "Tira Misu (Tiramisu)" is a major new round of upgrades to the underlying version of Android. The number of Android's monthly active devices has exceeded the 3 billion mark, with an increase of 1 billion in the past year, according to Google at the iCompact O conference.

Iteration time

In early February, Android released Google 13 Developer Preview 1, the first version of the development preview. A month later, DP2 (the second developer preview) was launched.

On April 26th this year, the Android 13 Beta 1 launch, the first public beta version, supports the Pixel 4~Pixel 6 device OTA or a new upgrade, and opens the full brush pack.

Judging from the iterative pace of four versions, it is carried out in full accordance with the schedule previously announced by Google. You want to share a set of photos with your friends in a chat app, but you don't want to grant the software access to all the photos on your phone. In Android 13, you can use the newly added photo selector to manually select the photos you need to share and grant access to only the photos you select to the chat app, minimizing the risk of privacy disclosure.

3. Media files are classified.

On Android 13, when three-party applications access three types of media files, such as photos, videos or music, users must confirm that the corresponding types of permissions are enabled.

4. Application notification permissions

Any APP on iOS that wants to send notifications must be manually licensed by the user, and a similar option appears in Android 13.

Android already covers 3 billion devices, and they come in different configurations, not only low-end old phones, but also novel super-large and folding screen devices. With the maturity of OEM manufacturers based on homemade systems, the sound volume of native Android in China has been much lower in recent years, so Google no longer spends a lot of energy designing Android 13 UI and animation, but focuses on tamping the underlying layer, such as privacy and security, interconnection, multiple device adaptation, and so on.
