Windows Server deploys DNS services

When we are surfing the Internet, we usually enter a web address, which is actually a domain name, and the computers on our computer network can only use I / P addresses to identify each other. The domain name (URL) is only equivalent to the house number, but only added to facilitate memory.

(the picture is from the Internet)

The DNS server is the (Domain Name System) domain name system or domain name service, which assigns domain name addresses and IP addresses to hosts on the Internet. If the user uses the domain name address, the system will automatically change the domain name address to the IP address. The domain name service is an Internet tool that runs the domain name system. The server that executes the domain name service is called the DNS server, which answers the query of the domain name service through the DNS server.

Server system: Windows Server 2016

Client system: Windows 10

IP configuration: server: 192.168.4.44

Client: 192.168.4.10

1. Install the DNS service on the server

Click start-Server Manager

Wait a few minutes for the installation to complete.

two。 Create a new forward lookup zone

In the DNS Manager, select forward Lookup Zone, and right-click New forward Lookup Zone

Create a new area named com

New host domain name

Verify that the client's DNS is the server's IP

Open CMD on the client side and update the DNS parsing cache "ipconfig-flushdns".

Ping abc.com

At this point, the ip address for the domain name "abc.com" is "192.168.4.44".

DNS is widely used. You can also set up a ftp site. You can visit my other article to view https://blog.51cto.com/9075724/2149058.
