Raid5 is redundant with 4x1 backup, and the disk utilization can only reach 80%.

Like Raid5, Raid6 stripes the logical disk and stores data and check bits, but adds another check bit to each bit of data. In this way, when using Raid6, there will be two hard drives to store check bits, which enhances the fault tolerance function and will inevitably reduce the actual capacity of the hard disk. In the past, the raid level generally allowed only one hard drive to fail, while RAID-6 allowed two hard drives to fail, so RAID-6 requires at least four hard drives. The disk utilization of Raid6 can only reach about 50%.

Note: EVA uses virtual storage technology, and unlike traditional RAID technology, all created VDISK are distributed on all physical disks of Disk, so once VDISK is created, physical disks cannot be unplugged at will to avoid data loss.

After the creation is completed, the figure is as follows:

Click the created virtual disk VDISK001, select the newly created host cyyc, and click present vdisk. This associates the VDISK with the host.
