Mysqlbinlog check binlog log Times wrong unknown variable 'default-character-set=utf8'

When exporting sql files through full files and incremental binlog files to restore the complete database. Because naked binlog files cannot be viewed directly, the tool mysqlbinlog is used to view the contents of binlog files (using man mysqlbinlog to view them), but there is an error when using mysqlbinlog to convert binlog files into human-readable content:

[root@server data] $mysqlbinlog mysql-bin.000009mysqlbinlog: unknown variable 'default-character-set=utf8'

The reason is that the tool mysqlbinlog does not recognize the default-character-set=utf8 directive in the configuration in binlog.

There are two ways to solve this problem:

1. Change the default-character-set=utf8 in the [client] block in the MySQL configuration file / etc/my.cnf to character-set-server = utf8, but you need to restart the MySQL service. If your MySQL service is busy, it will cost a lot.

2. Open it with the command mysqlbinlog-- no-defaults mysql-bin.000009.
