Let's start with the reasons for the erroneous deletion.

I built two workspace in Postman, and I shared the collection from one workspace to the other workspace. According to my normal understanding, these two are already independent, but when I deleted the shared collection from the second workspace, I found that the collection of the original workspace was gone.

The lesson of this incident:

* * 1. If the collection from another workspace share is deleted, the source collection will be deleted synchronously.

"Remove from workspace" should be used when only removing. **

OK, I was confused for a while, and I finally knew the reason for the deletion by mistake, but to get it back, I laboriously wrote 32 interface test cases, but I looked for a circle in the client tool, but there was no entrance for recovery. I was scared to death.

So at the beginning of Google, there was no ready-made solution, but I saw a problem feedback in the github where the project was located. The advice given by a staff member was:

"Do you have Sync enabled? If yes, can you email help@getpostman.com with your account details and we'll help you out."

It is amazing that some people support manual recovery.

Quickly use my "fluent" Chinglish to write an Email for help, but we are sometimes poor, waiting to be dealt with immediately should be impossible, but fortunately their help email also set up an automatic reply, have a look.

It turned out that Postman also had a fantastic online community, which was hidden so deep that it didn't find it:

Search for the keyword delete again, and sure enough, some people encounter the same problem. It seems that the weight of this site in google is not high, and it has not been found before.

Follow the steps after combing through the post:

Access the web dashboard,URL of your account:

Https://web.postman.co/workspaces?type=personal

In the upper right corner, click on the personal account icon and select Trash in the pop-up menu bar.

Jump page finally saw the deleted items, excited, click on the project behind the restore can be successfully restored, of course, you can click on the trash can icon to delete completely.

At present, this operation can only be done on web, and it is not long since it was launched, but luckily I found it. The official said that the documentation will be updated as soon as possible, and we also look forward to adding an entry to the client tool.
