As a new contact with linux system, VMware virtual machine installed CentOS 6.5 system, pure system clone several copies to facilitate later experiments. The cloning procedure is very simple. The problem after cloning is that the MAC address of the cloned NIC is the same as the MAC address of the original system. There will be conflicts in the local area network. You need to change the MAC address after cloning, otherwise the NIC will not get up. Today, I will teach you how to modify it, as follows:

1. First enter the original system and use the command to view the network card information.

2, the same steps into the cloned system, check the network card address, found the same MAC address, from the network service, prompt falied.

3. Edit the network card device: vi /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules, the following content appears, you will see that there are two network cards eth0 and eth2, eth0 is the clone system, eth2 is regenerated.

Add #to comment out the first NIC, change the second NIC to eth0, and record the MAC address.

Edit finished, esc key exit, input: wq save exit.

Then execute vi /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eht0, replace the original mac address with the mac address just recorded, and modify the ip address as follows.

4. Service network restart (if the prompt fails, restart the virtual machine)

After successful startup, use ifconfig command to view current ip
