How do I view the data disk?

You can check the usage of the data disk and where the file system is mounted through the df command. For example: df-lh

You can get the partition of the data disk through the fdisk command. For example: fdisk-l

How to uninstall and delete data in disk table?

Assuming that / dev/hda5 is mounted on / mnt/hda5, you can unmount the mounted file system using any of the following commands:

Umount / dev/hda5umount / mnt/hda5umount / dev/hda5 / mnt/hda5

/ etc/fstab is an important configuration file under the Linux system, which contains the details of the file system and storage devices mounted by the system at startup.

When you do not want to mount the specified partition when starting the instance, you need to delete the corresponding statement line in the current file. For example, delete the following statement to disconnect the xvdb1 at startup:

How do I confirm that the data disk has been uninstalled and that I can create a new custom image?

Confirm that the corresponding auto-mount data disk partition statement line in the / etc/fstab file has been deleted.

Use the mount command to view the mount information of all devices and confirm that the corresponding data disk partition information is not included in the execution result.

Does the custom image still exist after the instance is released?

Exist.

Does the snapshot still exist after the instance is released?

Keep manual snapshots, and automatic snapshots are cleared as the instance is released. For more details, see Auto Snapshot FAQ.

Is the created custom image affected after the instance used to create the custom image expires or releases data? Are instances activated using custom images affected?

Are unaffected.

Can the operating system be replaced for an instance created with a custom image? Can the original custom image still be used after changing the system?

Sure. The original custom image can continue to be used after replacement.

When changing the system disk, choose another operating system. Can I use a custom image?

Sure.

Note: after the system disk is replaced with a custom image, the original data will be completely overwritten.

Can the created custom image be used to replace the system disk data of another CVM ECS?

Sure. It is important to note, however, that the custom image will cover all the data on the server's system disk. Please refer to using images to create ECS instances.

Can I upgrade the CPU, memory, bandwidth, hard disk and so on of the ECS activated by the custom image?

Can be upgraded.

Can I use custom images across regions?

No. Custom images can only be used in the same region. For example, custom images created in instances in East China 1 cannot be used to activate ECS in North China 1.

Can the custom image of prepaid instance be used to create a postpaid CVM ECS?

Sure. The custom image feature does not distinguish the payment method of the instance, that is, whether it is paid on an annual or monthly basis or by quantity.
