Application design

DC/DC module power supply has a variety of standard input voltage, output voltage and output power and any special combination. Extremely light application

In general, the module power supply has a minimum load limit, which varies from manufacturer to manufacturer, generally about 10%, because when the load is too light, it is difficult for the energy storage component to continue flow, and the current is discontinuous, resulting in unstable output voltage. this is determined by the working principle of the module power supply itself. If there is indeed light or no-load use, the most convenient and effective way is to add a certain false load, which is about 2% of the output power, which can be preset by the module power manufacturer before leaving the factory. It can also be used by the user to set an appropriate resistance outside the module power supply as the load. It is worth noting that if the former is chosen, the power efficiency of the module will be reduced. However, some circuit topologies have no minimum load limit, such as Ericsson's E-series module power supply, which can meet the normal use of load from no-load to full load.
