If you've been tracking Samsung-related news lately, you probably already know about the upcoming Galaxy Buds Pro. Although the design of the device has been leaked several times, we didn't have the remaining features until recently. However, with Samsung's own app today, we have a better understanding of the expectations of these upcoming real wireless headphones.

Time and time again, the company left hints about future hardware in its publicly available applications, and did not provide enough protection for curious users. This is the case with Samsung apps. If you want to know, the problematic app here is the Samsung app used to control its wireless headphones.

As shown in the figure below, the app can not only confirm the appearance of Galaxy Buds Pro, but also know that Samsung calls it by the same name. Screenshots also suggest advanced ANC control, speech recognition and 3D audio.

Samsung designers apparently took inspiration from Apple's AirPods Pro interface and integrated a three-level selection function for the ANC toggle. This option allows you to enable or disable active noise reduction, but if necessary, you can add another option to listen to ambient sounds.

Ambient sound is used to send the external sound of the built-in microphone directly to the user's ear. Therefore, in this environment mode, the user will not be completely disconnected from the outside world and can still respond to important events.

Galaxy Buds Pro with voice detection and 3D audio

The new feature of Galaxy Buds Pro is the integration of voice detection. If the headset detects that you are talking to someone, the volume currently playing will automatically be lowered. At the same time, the aforementioned "ambient tone" mode will also be activated so that the other party's response can be heard. If no conversation is detected within the 5, 10, or 15 seconds selected by the user, the system will automatically deactivate again. Or you can tap one of the earplugs for this purpose.

Another new feature from Samsung called "3D Audio for Video" is reminiscent of Apple's "Space Audio", which can be used with AirPods Pro and AirPods Max in iOS 14. Here, headphones produce surround sound, which can lead to a better experience when watching a movie. According to the leaked application, the prerequisite for Samsung 3D audio is to use Galaxy Buds Pro in conjunction with Samsung smartphones running Android 11.

It is rumored that the release date of Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro is January 14, 2021. This is because Samsung is expected to release a new model of its Galaxy S21 series here. What do you think of the enhancement of in-ear headphones? Is the reason for the change or a good add-on?
