I recently bought a new computer monitor for the windows 10 device; my first 4K monitor, LG 27UD59-W, has a resolution of 3840x2160. Find the right color profile for your monitor

Typically, it is the manufacturer that provides the correct color profile for the monitor. If the monitor comes with an installation CD, it is likely that the color profile will be found on the CD. Search for files that end in .icm.

If you do not have a CD or cannot use it on your system, you need to visit the manufacturer's website to download the monitor drivers because they usually contain color profiles.

Searching for the display name windows 10 driver or similar driver is probably the easiest. I searched for the LG 27UD59-W 4 windows 10 driver, which took me to the LG home page from where I could download the driver.

Note that some monitors may be available only in certain parts of the world, but not worldwide. If the monitor has never been released in the United States, visiting the LG US website may not return the monitor.

Use the driver

After downloading the correct driver, you may need to extract it first. This is the case with windows 10 LG drivers with a size less than 50 KB.

The package includes four files, one of which is the ICC profile, and I need to set the correct color profile on the windows 10 device.

Right-clicking the driver and selecting "Install Profile" (installation profile) does not work, which means that I must use Color Management to install the correct color profile on the device.

Color Management on windows 10 is currently very hidden. You can try to type Color Management in start to load it, or use Windows to pause to open the Control Panel, select the Control Panel home page, switch to a small icon, and then run Color Management from here. .

To install a new profile, select the add button, browse to the location of the .ics file on your computer, and select it. The profile has been added, but is not automatically set as the default profile.

Select it in the list of profiles, and then activate the set as default profile button to make it the default. If you no longer need the old profile, you can also delete it using the delete button.
