Restore exchange data using RDB
(1) based on the previous experimental environment, simulate misoperation and delete the test email of user user01.
(2) create an empty folder RDB on disk C to store the recovery database
(3) restore the backup of WSB to the RDB folder
1. On the Select recovery Type page, select restore Files and folders
two。 On the "specify recovery options" page, select "other location" for the recovery target, specify the folder C:/RDB you created earlier, and click the "next" button.
(4) on the "confirm" page, click the "restore" button. After the recovery is complete, click the "close" button to exit the recovery wizard.
(5) reset the status of the restored mailbox database
1. Run cmd.exe to open a command line window and execute the cd c:\ rdb command to enter the folder where the restored mailbox database is located
two。 Check the status of the restored mailbox database and execute eseutil / mh "Mailbox Database 0057422866.edb" in the command line window
The database status returned by the system is abnormal shutdown state "dirty shutdown"
3. The replay log is restored to the mailbox database to a normally closed state, and the command eseutil / r E00 / I / d is executed in the command line window.
The parameters are as follows
/ r: perform soft repair
E00: the creation symbol of the log file name
/ I: when the restored database is in "dirty shutdown" abnormal shutdown state, you need to use this parameter to repair
/ d: ignore database errors
4. After the replay of the log is complete, check the status of the restored mailbox database again and execute the eseutil / mh "Mailbox Database 0057422866.edb" command in the command line window
(6) create a recovery database
Create a recovery database (RDB) with the restored mailbox database, start the exchange management shell window on the mail server, and execute the command
The parameters are as follows:
RDB1: name of the recovery database
Dc002.benet.com: the NETBIOS name of the mail server
(7) restart the "Microsoft exchange Information Storage" service and execute the Restart-service MSExchangeis command in the exchangemanagement shell window.
(8) Mount the recovery database
1. In the exchange management shell window, execute the mount-database-Identity rdb1 command
two。 Execute the Get-MailboxStatistics-Database rdb1 command to see if the mounted recovery database contains user mailboxes that need to be restored
(9) merge specified mailboxes into online mailbox databases
1. View all available exchange mailbox databases, in the exchange management shell window, execute the get-mailboxdatabase command
From the returned results, you can see two mailbox databases, one is the online database, and the other is the recovery database rdb1
two。 Restore the specified mailbox from the recovery database to the online database and execute the New-MailboxRestoreRequest-SourceDatabase rdb1-SourceStoreMailbox user01-TargetMailbox user01 command
3. Check to see if the data recovery request has been successful and execute the Get-MailboxRestoreRequest-Status completed command
4. After the data recovery request is completed, delete the recovery request, execute the Get-MailboxRestoreRequest-Status completed | Remove-MailboxRestoreRequest command, enter "Y" when prompted and press enter to delete the recovery request
(10) dismount the recovery database
After the operation of restoring the specified mailbox is complete, you need to uninstall the recovery database, execute the command, enter "Y" according to the prompt and press enter
(11) check the test mailbox after recovery, and you can see that the mailbox data of user user01 has been successfully restored.
