The installation process is divided into two steps, phpstudy download and dvwa download. Below is the installation tutorial:

1.1 DVWA environment needs to be prepared first. DVWA needs to run in various environments such as databases/servers. We generally choose phpStudy that integrates these environments.

This tool can be downloaded from the official website at http://phpstudy.php.cn/The official website interface is as follows:

1.2 Click "Software Download" in the title bar to enter the phpStudy version selection download interface:

1.3 personal recommendation to download this size of 33M decompression version, which is a complete set of plug-ins. After downloading it, decompress it anywhere you want.

After decompression, click phpstudy20161103.exe (version different, name different) to run the installer.

Note: The installation path cannot contain Chinese. I personally installed it directly under the root directory of disk E. The installation path is E:\phpStudy.

1.4 Then you can click phpStudy.exe to run the program. The results of successful operation are as follows (note that it has a process of turning on service, and the two indicators of operation status change from red to green):

If this does not work, refer to the included manual "manual.chm" for a solution.

This software leaves it hanging open, and then downloads and installs dvwa configuration.

2.1 Enter dvwa official website, website: http://www.dvwa.co.uk/page pull to the bottom, click "download" to download.

2.2 Download is a DVWA-master.zip compressed package, this compressed package needs to be decompressed to phpStudy WWW directory (you can also download the directory decompression and then copy to WWW below),

The path on my computer is: E:\phpStudy\WWW, extract it here, and the result is as follows:

2.3 Here you need to change some configuration information. We need to find the config.inc.php.dist file under E:\phpStudy\WWW\DVWA-master\config

Open it in Notepad, change the default password "p@ssw0rd" to "root", save it, and then delete the suffix ".dist" of config.inc.php.dist, leaving config. inc.php

Some are config.inc.php without changing the suffix.

3.1 Keep phpstudy open, just enter a browser, enter the address bar: localhost/dvwa-master/setup.php to enter the settings interface

3.2 Click the "Create/Reset Database" button at the bottom to create the database. If the database is successfully created, the following results will be displayed (left). Click the login button at the bottom to enter the login interface.

It is also possible that it will automatically jump to the login interface after successful creation (right)

Here to tell you, Firefox on my computer does not display the login button after it is successfully created, nor does it pop up the login interface itself.

You can change the setup.php at the end of the address bar to login.php to enter the login interface

3.3 The default username is admin and password is password (actually there are five default usernames and passwords, which can be found later in SQL injection testing)

ps: Change the p@ssw0rd to root, which is the password of the database, not the login password of DVWA.

Successful login is displayed as follows (different DVWA versions support different vulnerability types, so the display is not the same)
