In daily life, there must be many people who can not find the boot program, the phenomenon of startup interruption, or unable to load the operating system, the phenomenon of black screen after boot, and so on. The causes of these failures are mostly caused by viruses, * *, etc., or incorrect partition operations, as well as disk read and write errors.

Next, let's do a repair experiment on this MBR sector fault:

First of all, we should back up the files in advance and repair them.

The experimental steps are as follows:

First of all, we should prepare two hard drives for the machines we need for backup operation, as shown in the following figure:

Go to the add hardware wizard, select "hard disk", and click "next" as shown in the figure:

By default, we choose the recommended SCSI type for disk type. Click "next" as shown below:

Select to create a new virtual disk and click "next", as shown in the figure:

Specify a disk capacity of 20g by default. Next:

After specifying the location of the disk file, we have finished adding the disk. Click finish.

The following figure shows that we have successfully added the disk, showing two hard drives.

Next, we partition the newly added disk by typing fdisk / dev/sdb as shown below:

Create a new partition: n create a primary partition: P We will create only one partition and allocate all the disk capacity to sdb1, as shown below:

After the partition is completed, we need to format the disk partition by typing mkfs-t ext4 / dev/sdb1, as shown below:

Next, we create a new directory named backup, and hang dev/sdb1 in this directory, as shown below:

Next, we back up the sector data and backup it to backup, as shown below:

When we enter the backup directory, we find that the backed-up data already exists, as shown below:

Next, we simulate a MBR sector failure, as shown in the following figure:

After the simulation fault is completed, we need to mount the system CD, enter the first aid mode, and repair it, as shown in the figure:

We are setting up-- Power-- booting into BIOS, which will appear as shown in the following figure. We select BOOT--CD-ROM DRIVE to boot from the CD, select and press F10 to save and exit.

When the following screen appears, select the third option to enter first aid mode, as shown in the figure:

The next step is to follow the prompts and Ok.

After completing the above steps, the prompt will appear, of course, this is not over, we need to create a directory, we can make other names, in the experiment I created the backup directory. And mount / dev/sdb1 to this directory, as shown below:

Note: the previous backup directory has been corrupted.

Below, we will reply to the MBR sector from the backup, enter the following command, and restart the computer after the recovery is complete:
