First of all, GS adopts symmetrical double active controller, and the two controllers process data at the same time. This not only improves performance, when one controller fails, the other controller still processes data, but the single control load increases, and the front end will not be affected in any way. When backing up off-site, two GS can do "double active backup". With the help of Infortrend gateway devices, the front-end IO is saved to two GS at the same time. Similarly, one GS shuts down and the other GS continues to support front-end access. Compared with replication, there is no need to do front-end mounting and other actions, and there will be no change before and after the storage failure.
