Cumulative update 22 for Microsoft Exchange Server 2013 was released on February 12, 2019. This cumulative update is a security update. This cumulative update includes fixes for non-security issues and all previously released fixes for security and non-security issues. These patches will also be included in subsequent cumulative updates to Exchange Server 2013. This update provides security notifications in Microsoft Exchange. It also addresses some vulnerabilities, see Microsoft Common vulnerabilities and Disclosure CVE-2019-0686 and Microsoft Common vulnerabilities and Disclosure CVE-2019-0724. This update also includes a new Daylight savings time (DST) update for Exchange Server 2013.

Known issues in this cumulative UPDAT

"in a multi-domain Active Directory forest with Exchange installed or previously prepared with the / PrepareDomain option in SETUP, you must complete this cumulative update / PrepareAD command and copy the changes to all domains." Setup will attempt to execute the / PrepareAD command during the first installation of the server. The installation completes only if the user who started SETUP has the appropriate permissions.

Notes:

The cumulative update 22 package can be used to run a new installation of Exchange Server 2013 or to upgrade an existing Exchange Server 2013 installation to cumulative update 22.

Before installing cumulative update 22, you do not have to install any previously released cumulative updates for Exchange Server 2013 or Service Pack released before cumulative update 22.

This cumulative update requires Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.1.

Components used in Exchange require the new Visual C + + prerequisites to be installed with Exchange Server. Prerequisites can be downloaded from Visual C + + Redistributable Packages in Visual Studio 2013.

The installation process for Exchange Server 2013 will identify any missing prerequisites.

After you apply this cumulative update package, you may have to restart your computer.

Registration information

After you apply this cumulative update package, you do not have to make any changes to the registry.

Delete information

After installing this cumulative update package, you cannot uninstall the package to revert to an earlier version of Exchange Server 2013. If you uninstall this cumulative update pack, Exchange Server 2013 will be removed from the server.
