Kazam

The Kazam desktop recording tool is also software that follows the GPL protocol. And like SimpleScreenRecorder, Kazam is easy to use and has an intuitive interface. After installing and running Kazam, you can set up and choose to record the entire desktop, specify a window, or a custom area. (LCTT) you can also choose to record the movement of the mouse. Part of the recording of the custom area is basically similar to that in the introduction to SimpleScreenRecorder. One of my favorite things about Kazam is the ability to delay recording, which is essential when making video tutorials.

Kazam can be easily customized under the File | Settings menu, such as selecting the sound source in the speaker or microphone, turning off the countdown prompt, and so on.

Video recording settings can be made in the second tab of the settings page. The default recording frame rate of Kazam is 15fps, and the encoding format is H264 (MP4). Other formats to choose from are VP8 (WEBM), HUFFYUV, Lossless JPEG, and RAW AVI. The recorded files are named with a preset prefix and are automatically saved in the default directory. You can modify these settings at any time.

Setting up screenshots is also easy. You can choose the shutter sound effects of the Nikon D80 or Canon 7D, or you can turn them off altogether. Screenshot files are stored automatically. Unless you turn it off.

The recorded videos will be stored in your selected directory and can be uploaded to your favorite video sharing site or tutorial website at any time.
