Good morning, today I'm here to accompany my friends to complete the experiment of layer 3 switching. Enter the GSN 3 software, drag out the two c3725s, and add business veneer and disk space to their respective configure (both devices should be set up, don't forget).

Once set up, first change the name to sw1 and sw2. Then replace the sw1 icon with the switch icon, and the sw2 icon with the layer 3 switch icon.

Pull out three PCs and connect five devices with a console line. Remember that pc is connected to the sw1 switch port, that is, the number 1 starts with the number 0 and the number 0 starts with the router port.

Double-click five devices to enter the CRT interface, click Options, and then click Session Options to set the page color and font size in Appearance for later browsing.

Draw up three host ip and subnet mask, equip the layer 3 switch with three corresponding gateways, and then configure according to the following figure.

First, set up sw1, turn off routing, add three vlan domains, set link mode, and add ports. Only the method of adding port 1 to vlan is listed here, and the same method settings are set for port 2 of f1Unip 0 and f1max.

Enter the View command (abbreviation) and randomly see that all three ports have been added to the three Vlan domains.

Next, set the port F1 sw1 3, set the sw mode to trunk mode, and then encapsulate the dot protocol.

After setting, enter the view command to view (abbreviated), and the setting is successful.

Follow the way sw1 sets up trunk to configure sw2's f1and3, the procedure is the same.

Then enter the command to view the configured mode page, and the setup is completed successfully.

Secondly, enter the three vlan domains, set the gateway address and subnet mask, and enter no shut to open the port.

The figure shows how to configure vlan 10, and the other two can be configured in the same way.

Enter the View ip command to see if OK is configured.

The address is configured with OK and the ports are open.

Assign three hosts with ip addresses and add a gateway after typing (knock on the blackboard, which is easy to miss).

At this point, we use pc1 to connect to pc2 and communicate with each other.

We use pc1 to connect to pc3 and communicate with each other.

Let's use pc2 to connect to pc3 to see if it can be interconnected.

To sum up, we find that all three can communicate in pairs, which proves that the layer 3 switch can interconnect PCs in different network segments and different Vlandomain.
