Preface
The plug-in Cinemachine advanced virtual camera system in Unity3D can be used together with Timeline timeline to achieve effects such as movie-level mirror separation. In this article, we will continue to use the last simulation charge project, and on this basis, we will use Cinemachine with Timeline to achieve the effect of a mirror operation.
Realize the effect
Install the Cinemachine plug-in
Micro-card smart enjoy
Open Window--Package Manager.
Find Cinemachine, click Download, and then Import import.
After installation, a Cinemachine menu will be added to the menu bar, indicating that we have successfully installed it.
Configure Cinemachine
Micro-card smart enjoy
01 create a virtual camera
Click Create Virtual Camera in Cinemachine to create a virtual camera
CM vcam1 has been created successfully, and as we can see in the image above, a small icon has been added to the original Main Camera.
Then when we click on the Main Camera inspector, we can see that there is a component of CinemachineBrain behind, and the Live Camera below points to the CM vcam1 that we just created, so our camera is CM Vcam1.
02 create multiple view cameras
We have created a new Virtual Camera, renamed CMGateDown. In the Follow on the right side of the image above, we set GateDown, and then set HRFReader in Look at, which means that our virtual camera follows the GateDown component, that is, our starting device, and then looks toward the position of the card reader. You can see the position of the virtual camera in the red box on the left of the image above.
It is important to note that we have unchecked the enabling of this virtual camera, because if checked, our main camera is directly bound to the newly added virtual camera.
In the way we just did, we added another virtual camera for CMStation.
03 create a camera followed by the vehicle
The way to connect to the above is to add a Virtual Camera, and then select our Car_14 's car in Follow, and the LookAt will not be specified. We can just look at the front of the car, so that we can see a camera on the left side of the image above.
Next, you need to find the Body item under the CinemachineVirtualCamera component of CMCar, select Transposer, and then set the coordinates of XMagi YMagazine Z for Follow Offset to locate the camera.
According to the above parameters, we can see the lens effect of the camera after ticking CMCar. If you think it is not appropriate, you can adjust the value of Follow Offset, and then you can uncheck the CMCar.
TimeLine Timeline usage
Micro-card smart enjoy
01 add Timeline window
Click on the Window---Sequencing--- Timeline
The Timeline window appears in the upper left corner window.
Create a new empty object, rename it TimeLine, and click Create on the Timeline.
Then create a new Timeline folder in Assets in the project and save it as a Timeline.playable file
As you can see, the left side has been changed to a settings window, and a Playable Director component has been added to the right side. The next step is to set up our operation mirror.
02 configure Timeline
Click the plus sign in the upper left corner of the Timeline window and select Cinemachine Track
Then select Main Camera in the selection of CinemachineBrain
Next, there are several cameras on the left. We hold down the mouse and drag into the middle timeline. If you have studied PR, it is actually similar to video clip operation. Here is the timeline of each shot we can adjust.
In this way, the mirror effect of our Cinemachine with TimeLine can be completed.
