Master_info_repository has two values, file and table, which determine the state of the slave record master. If the parameter is file, the master.info file is created, and if the parameter value is table, the slave_master_info table is created in mysql.

The sync_master_info parameter determines how slave refreshes the state of the master. And the refresh method is different with different parameters of master_info_repository.

1) if master_info_repository=file,sync_master_info=N, where N > 0, then slave will be synchronized to the master.info file using fdatasync () after every N events. If sync_master_info=N, where Number0, then MySQL will write the status information to the OS Cache, waiting for the operating system to synchronize.

2) if master_info_repository=table,sync_master_info=N, if N > 0, then slave will update the mysql.slave_master_info table after every N events, and if Number0, then the mysql.slave_master_info table will never be updated.
