This article introduces the relevant knowledge of "how to connect to the database and visualize PowerBI". In the operation of actual cases, many people will encounter such a dilemma, so let the editor lead you to learn how to deal with these situations. I hope you can read it carefully and be able to achieve something!
This section selects the data file that comes with the MySQL software, and the world database contains the city table. Take the data of the table as an example, use the PowerBI software to connect the database, after data cleaning, use the filter to achieve the dynamic filtering effect. We know that the PowerBI software has a good visualization effect. After analyzing and combining the multi-column charts, you can display a Dashboard Kanban. The following is the Dashboard effect generated by the PowerBI software. For a detailed picture and text tutorial, see below.

Software operation steps
Step 1: data selection. There is a city table in the database world, which contains four fields: ID, Name, CountryCode, Population and District.
Step 2: data connection. Open the Power BI Desktop software, click on the home page to get data, click on the database, select the MySQL database, and click Connect. Step 3: data connection. Here, because the data is stored locally, the server chooses localhost, the connected database name is world, and SQL syntax is used here to query data with a Population greater than 1000000. Step 4: data connection. Data loading, uploading data, if the data to do special processing, you can use the conversion data function. Step 5: data connection. The connected data is the data of query 1, which contains the four fields in the original data table. Step 6: visualize. To study the population of each city, select the cluster bar chart in the visualization, drag the District field to the axis, and Population to the value to get a cluster column chart.
Step 7: visualize. As we can see from the figure above, the original data has many city dimensions, including the worldwide urban population. If you only filter the urban population of China, you can drag the CountryCode field to the filter on this visual object, and select CHN. The population of each city dimension in China is shown below. Step 8: property change. Next, you can change some of the attributes of the drawing, click on the format, such as removing the Y axis, opening the data label, changing the data color, and so on. Step 9: filter. You can insert a filter in the visual graph, drag the District field, drag the CountryCode field into the filter on this visual object, select CHN, and set the orientation to horizontal in general to achieve the filter effect.
Step 10: title. Finally, we insert a text box into the graphic as the title.
Using a filter, the dynamic effect of the image is shown below.
