Conversion from physical machine to virtual machine through deployment of SCVMM in Hyper-v environment 1. Environment introduction

The company has built a virtual cluster of hyper-v, and now manages the whole HA environment through the deployment of SCVMM platform on a single node (vmhost1).

This document mainly introduces the detailed steps of the deployment and implementation of PToV by SCVMM. All the content is officially used in the production environment.

2. Deployment details

1. Prepare before installation

The version of this installation is vmm2012sp1

Install sqlserver2012

Run setup.exe in sql, and then select "install" in the left column to enter the sql installation interface, and then select the first "New SQL Server stand-alone installation or add features to existing installation" on the right, after launching the installation wizard. In the role setup wizard, select "SQL Server function installation". Next, specify the instance name in the instance configuration, use the default instance, click next specify service account wizard, directly specify the database engine configuration wizard, specify the SQL administrator, and click next.

The administrator account is also specified in the Analysis Service configuration. Click next.

In Reporting Service configuration, select "install and configure" Reporting Service native mode, and next

Distributed replay controller, similarly specify the administrator account, and click next

Specify the controller and directory location of the distributed replay client, and click next

Installing the Windows Evaluation and deployment Kit (ADK) for Windows 8 is equivalent to Windows7's automatic installation kit AIK download address: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30652 downloads an online installer and requires the entire kit to be downloaded online. The speed is relatively slow, so it is recommended to download it in advance.

Since sqlserver 2012 has been deployed, there is no need to install it here

2. VMM installation

Select the features to install, VMM management Server (Management Server) and VMM console (console), and click Next

This is a single-node deployment, all choose not to use the cluster

3. Add hyper-v hosts to vmm

This account cannot be the same as the VMM account just now, so I changed it to * TESTADMIN, or I will add a virtual host to report an error.

4. Physical server conversion

The status of the physical server at this time

VmmP2VAgent.ext agent is running.

At this point, the virtual completion virtual machine is converted to my virtualized cluster, and you can also view the virtual machine by choosing to switch to a single node, exactly the same as the physical machine.
