At the scene of the event, seven intelligent network connected cars were put into trial operation. Five residents from Xiaojunshan community in Wuhan Development Zone became the first "Alpha" passengers to test ride Hailiang technology, experiencing self-driving ride service. Vehicle-road coordination, long-distance driving and other functions, and with manual and intelligent driving modes, can be switched according to the actual needs.

On the same day, the National Intelligent Network Union Automobile (Wuhan) Test and demonstration Zone was officially unveiled, while Wuhan Public Security and Traffic Administration issued eight intelligent network vehicle road test licenses to Dongfeng Automobile, Hailiang Technology, Shenlan Technology and other enterprises. in addition, 18 vehicles, including Baidu and Xiandu Intelligent Technology, are about to issue road test licenses.

It is understood that the first batch of licensed self-driving cars will operate on a 28-kilometer demonstration road in the National Intelligent Network United Automobile (Wuhan) demonstration zone.
