This article is to share with you about what labview means. The editor thought it was very practical, so I shared it with you as a reference. Let's follow the editor and have a look.

What is labview?

LabVIEW is a kind of program development environment, which is developed by American National Instruments (NI) Company, which is similar to C and BASIC development environment, but the remarkable difference between LabVIEW and other computer languages is that other computer languages use text-based language to generate code, while LabVIEW uses graphical editing language G to write programs in the form of block diagrams.

LabVIEW software is not only the core of NI design platform, but also an ideal choice for developing measurement or control system. The LabVIEW development environment integrates all the tools engineers and scientists need to quickly build applications designed to help engineers and scientists solve problems, increase productivity, and innovate.

Analysis

Like C and BASIC, LabVIEW is a general-purpose programming system with a huge library of functions that accomplish any programming task. The function library of LabVIEW includes data acquisition, GPIB, serial control, data analysis, data display and data storage, and so on. LabVIEW also has traditional program debugging tools, such as setting breakpoints, animating data and the results of its subroutines (VI), single-step execution, etc., to facilitate program debugging.

LabVIEW (Laboratory Virtual Instrument Engineering Workbench) is a graphical programming language that uses icons instead of text lines to create applications. The traditional text programming language determines the program execution order according to the sequence of statements and instructions, while LabVIEW adopts data flow programming mode. The data flow between nodes in the program block diagram determines the execution order of VI and functions. VI refers to virtual instrument, which is the program module of LabVIEW.

LabVIEW provides many controls that are similar to traditional instruments (such as oscilloscopes and multimeters) and can be used to easily create user interfaces. The user interface is called the front panel in LabVIEW. Using icons and wires, you can programmatically control the objects on the front panel. This is the graphical source code, also known as G code. The graphical source code of LabVIEW is similar to the flow chart to some extent, so it is also called block diagram code.

Characteristics

General hardware is used as much as possible, and the difference between various instruments is mainly software.

It can give full play to the ability of the computer, has a powerful data processing function, and can create more powerful instruments.

Users can define and manufacture all kinds of instruments according to their own needs.

Another problem of virtual instrument research is the interconnection of various standard instruments and the connection with computers. IEEE488 or GPIB protocols are more commonly used. Future instruments should also be networked.

LabVIEW (Laboratory Virtual instrument Engineering Workbench) is a graphical programming language development environment, which is widely accepted by industry, academia and research laboratories as a standard data acquisition and instrument control software. LabVIEW integrates all the functions of communicating with hardware and data acquisition card that meet the protocols of GPIB, VXI, RS-232 and RS-485. It also has built-in library functions that facilitate the application of TCP/IP, ActiveX and other software standards. This is a powerful and flexible software. Using it, we can easily build our own virtual instrument, and its graphical interface makes the process of programming and use lively and interesting.

Graphical programming language, also known as "G" language. When programming in this language, basically do not write program code, replaced by a flow chart or block diagram. It makes use of terms, icons, and concepts familiar to technicians, scientists, and engineers as much as possible, so LabVIEW is an end-user-oriented tool. It can enhance your ability to build your own scientific and engineering systems, and provides a convenient way to realize instrument programming and data acquisition systems. When using it to study, design, test and realize the instrument system, the work efficiency can be greatly improved.

With LabVIEW, you can produce an executable file that runs independently, which is a true 32-bit / 64-bit compiler. Like many important software, LabVIEW offers multiple versions of Windows, UNIX, Linux, and Macintosh.

Its main convenience is that in the case of a hardware, the functions of different instruments can be realized by changing the software. it is very convenient and is equivalent to software that is hardware! Graphics are mainly upper-level systems. China has developed a graphical single-chip microcomputer programming system (which supports 32-bit embedded systems and can be expanded), which is constantly improving (you can search CPUVIEW for more details;)
