Xiaobian to share with you how to open Mac OS X native with NTFS read and write function, I believe most people still do not know how to share this article for your reference, I hope you have a lot of harvest after reading this article, let us go to understand it together!

Check the Volume Name of the disk.

Open terminal and execute diskutil list to view volume name

You can see my volume name is My Passport.

Change the/etc/fstab file

Then update the/etc/fstab file, execute sudo vi /etc/fstab at terminal, open the file fstab, and write the following:

LABEL=My40Passport none ntfs rw,auto,nobrowse

My40Passport represents the volume name of the disk (if there is a space in your volume name, you need to use 40 instead of the space bar). The following Ntfs rw indicates that the partition is mounted in read-write ntfs format. Finally nobrowse is very important because it means that the partition is not displayed in the finder. This option is very important because the mount will not succeed if it is not turned on.

Third, do shortcuts

There's a flaw that needs to be removed: since this partition doesn't show up in the finder, how do we find it? We can't always use the command line. The solution is actually very simple, because this My Paaport partition is under hanging/Volumes, we put this directory on the desktop to do a shortcut on the line.

sudo ln -s /Volumes/My Passport ~/Desktop/lhldisk

The results are shown below

However, after the shortcut was created, new problems arose, whether it was inserted into a removable hard disk. This shortcut icon has been on the desktop, not very beautiful.

Fourth, hide desktop mobile hard disk shortcuts, drag into the Finder sidebar

Drag shortcut lhldisk to sidebar

result, drag result

Then hide desktop mobile hard disk shortcut, open terminal, execute

cd ~/Desktopmv lhldisk .lhldisk

environment

OS X EI Capitan 10.11.6
