About Extreme X770 switch

The Extreme X770 is a series of highly scalable top-of-rack switches that provide 10GbE with the industry's highest port density, advanced scalability, programmability, and powerful software features to meet the needs of big data and cloud applications. Not only that, the Extreme X770 switch can also support 40GbE ports natively or be configured as 10GbE ports to transition to a new virtualized environment, helping to optimize new server deployments. Overall, the Extreme X770 switch provides 104 10GbE ports locally and 816 10GbE ports in high-speed SummitStack stacking systems.

Port configuration of Extreme X770 switch

There are 32 40 GbE QSFP+ ports on the Extreme X770 switch, of which 24 ports can be configured as 4 10GbE ports and the remaining 8 QSFP+ ports can be configured as a single 10GbE port, providing up to 10 10GbE connections in a 1U rack.
