Lab requirements:

1. Automatically assign available IP addresses to clients through service

Configuration ideas:

First, the IP address must be manually configured for the DHCP server, and the IP address should be one of the IP addresses in the address pool that should be established for this network segment to ensure interoperability with the devices in this network segment (A network segment).

Write the IP address pool, subnet mask, gateway address, DNS of segment An and segment B in the DHCP server

Connect the A network segment and the B network segment with the router, configure the IP address for the port connecting the A network segment, that is, the gateway address of the A network segment, and configure the IP address for the other port, that is, the gateway address of the B network segment.

The client of network segment A can obtain a valid IP address by clicking to obtain the IP address automatically. Because the DHCP request message is sent by broadcast, the client of the B network segment cannot directly request to the IP address through the route, so the gateway port of the B network segment (that is, the port of the router connected to the B network segment) should turn on the DHCP relay, which can request the IP address from the DHCP server through unicast, so the DHCP service function must be enabled for this router.

The steps of the experiment:

Configure the IP address of the DHCP server 192.168.10.1 255.255.255.0
