rman target /RMAN>

Change the backup mode of control files to automatic backup

RMAN > configure controlfile autobackup on;

Check whether the control file backup is automatic

RMAN > show controlfile autobackup;

View Control File Automatic Backup Path

RMAN> show controlfile autobackup format;

Modify the control file automatic backup path

RMAN > configure controlfile autobackup format for device type disk to '/backup/orcl/%F';

Note that %F is DBID+ Date and can be used to identify time and DBID

Manual backup of control files

backup current controlfile format '/backup/orcl/control_%d_%T_%s_%p.bak';
