I did a project on an integrated network management architecture, and I didn't find anyone talking about it at 51cto. I'll share it with you today.

My project integrated network management architecture is mainly to do exchange AC integration and fat and thin AP integration.

First of all, let's talk about the integration of exchange AC. Taking the core switch as an example, as the central equipment of the campus network, in addition to bearing the burden of high-speed data forwarding, more and more business functions are integrated on the core switch board, such as firewall board and VSU board. As the wireless management and data transfer center of the whole network, the wireless controller is integrated on the core switch in the form of board. On the one hand, this model can save the hardware cost of the product, on the other hand, through the integration of functions, multiple devices can be integrated into one, which greatly reduces the burden of network maintenance and management.

The fat-thin AP integration is that when the first phase of the customer's wireless network is small, you only need to choose the fat-thin integrated AP product and set its working mode to fat mode. With the continuous expansion of the scale of the customer network, when dozens or even hundreds of AP devices are applied in the network, the management pressure and security control pressure of the wireless network continue to rise. In this case, the first phase of the AP can be configured into a thin mode by adding a wireless controller in the network, thus realizing the centralized unified management network and unified security policy of the first and second phase of the wireless network. In the process of switching between fat and thin AP, you only need a simple command line or batch execution through network management, and the AP does not need to be restarted during the switching process, which is conducive to smoothly upgrading the customer's wireless network from a small network to a large network, thus better protecting users' investment.
