Problem phenomenon:

For virtual machines in the virtual platform, the network card and SCSI controller in the system are displayed as removable devices, and "safely remove hardware" can be seen in the Windows system taskbar. Therefore, some users think it is a flash drive when using it, which will lead to misoperation and deletion. Once deleted, the client can no longer connect to the view, making the user's virtual machine unusable.

Solution:

1. Use vSphere client to connect to the ESXi host or vCenter.

2. Find the corresponding virtual machine.

3. Right-click the virtual machine, select "Edit Settings", or click "Edit Virtual Machine Settings" directly.

4. Click "options"-"General"-"configuration parameters"

5. Click "add Line"

6. Enter a new line with the name devices.hotplug and the value false

7. Just make sure. When you turn on the virtual machine again, you will find that there is no option to remove the network card in the taskbar.
