Environment: HPUX 11.31 * ServiceGurad A.11.20. Two node:node1,node2; and one package:pkg1.

Failure phenomenon: pkg1 can normally switch between two node, but when one of the node shuts down, the pkg1 can only run on the node2 for about 1 minute, and then it will automatically failed.

Analysis process:

1. Check the log of pkg1 and the syslog of the system, and no abnormality is found.

two。 Check the application script configured in the pkg control file and find no exception. To facilitate troubleshooting, comment out the application script defined in the control file for the time being.

3. After commenting out, the fault site still exists. Shoulder rub bag configuration file, package control file, still nothing found.

4. Check the cluster configuration file, and compare it with the previous cluster configuration file, and find that there are more SUBNET configuration and IP_MONITOR configuration in the customer's cluster configuration file. Suspect that

5. After re-check,apply the cluster configuration file, the problem is resolved.

Summary: after verification, in the cluster configuration file (usually cluster.ascii), you do not need to write the SUBNET parameter (just write MONITORED_SUBNET in the pkg configuration file), nor do you need the IP_MONITOR parameter. If you write SUBNET, be sure to set IP_MONITOR to OFF.
