I. encounter by chance

As a network engineer certified by Cisco CCNP, focus on network technology. But in the daily work, it is inevitable not to contact the server, for most servers, in view of stability and other factors, basically use the Linux system, including RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, SUSE, Debian, Mageia, Red Flag Linux, winning Kirin and so on. On the other hand, I basically know nothing about the Linux system, which is bound to hinder the content of my work, so it must bring some disadvantages to me personally.

To this end, I made up my mind to study Linux by myself. Began to search the Internet for Linux-related learning materials, browsing a lot of Linux-related books, either a wide range of content, or abstract content, do not think it is too appropriate. In 2017, by chance, I found an e-book on the website called Linux probe. At that time, the book was still unpublished and only an electronic version was available for reference. Now I have published a book called "linux should learn this way". I found that the whole content of this book is compact, complicated and simplified, and the topics of each chapter are closely linked to the basic and core knowledge points, so I began the journey of self-learning Linux with this book. Now it's a good time. This e-book has been officially released, which makes it more convenient for friends to study.

II. The initial chapter

According to Chapter 1 of the book, deploy a virtual environment to install the Linux system, thus staggering, led by this electronic version of the book, step by step and open the door to learning Linux.

In fact, before this self-study, I have installed the Linux system more than once, but recall carefully that I was not fully able to understand every step of the operation at that time, especially in the Linux system partition, due to the difference between the Windows system and the Windows system, I have not understood the concept, practice and role of the partition. And when I first started learning, I was confused about the configuration of the yum source for a long time. In fact, I think these two points can be regarded as a big obstacle to my initial Linux. Under the guidance of this book, I add my own thinking and summary. It is only then that the difficult road of learning Linux is slowly opened up.

As the saying goes, everything is difficult at the beginning, but under the guidance of the book "Linux should learn this way" with a clear organization and a shallow and deep concept of substitute teaching, when I finally get through these difficulties, I find that the next study is as smooth as bamboo.

III. Deep intercourse

With the deepening of learning, we came into contact with user identity and file permissions, storage structure and disk partition, RAID, LVM, firewalld, Apache, vsftpd, Samba, DHCP, Postifx, Squid, iSCSI, MariaDB, Kickstart, LNMP and so on. Whenever you break through a knowledge point and achieve the effect you want to achieve through your own hands, the inner excitement and joy can only be completely felt and enjoyed through your own efforts, and your heart is also very grateful to the author of the book "Linux should learn this way". He can feel the author's intention, detailed guidance and patient description between the lines.

Perhaps for students who are new to learning Linux, they have no concept of these knowledge points at all, but in this book, the explanation of these core knowledge points can be said to be simplified, avoiding light and heavy, and the details of each operation are basically provided with screenshots and commands. In this way, even students with zero foundation of Linux will not have much difficulty as long as they think more about themselves in their study. This is also one of the reasons why I can continue to learn. To be sure, the book "this is how Linux should learn" led me into the door of Linux and cultivated my interest in Linux, for which I am grateful.
