Backup method of server certificate

The backup of the server certificate is to facilitate the reinstallation of the server certificate when the server hardware or software system breaks down and the system needs to be reinstalled. There are different backup and import methods for different operating system server certificates. The server certificate backup method described below is only for the Chinese version of Windows 2003 Server operating system.

1. Enter "mmc" in "run" to display the "console" window, and then select "add / remove snap-ins" in the console's main menu:

3. After the new interface appears, click "finish" to successfully add the management unit-certificate, and click "OK":

5. Then click "personal"Certificate", the SSL certificate installed on your server will appear. After selecting your server certificate, the "Export" menu of "all tasks" will appear on the right button. Click "Export" to back up your server certificate:

6. Select "Yes, Export Private key (Y)", click the "next" button, export your digital certificate backup, select "include all certificates in the certificate path", and click the "next" button:

7. Enter the private key password of your server digital certificate in the password box, which must be long enough (more than 6 digits is recommended). You need this password when you import and install it later, and you must not forget this password, otherwise there is no way to import your SSL certificate if the server is reinstalled. Click the "next" button, follow the instructions below, select your digital certificate storage directory and file name, and click the "next" button:

8. Click "finish" so that your server certificate has been backed up successfully, and you can see the saved directory and file name and other information. Please save this certificate file to CD or other computer, just in case.
