This article mainly shows you "how to use the TCP way to connect to the KVM server for control", the content is easy to understand, clear, hope to help you solve your doubts, the following let the editor lead you to study and learn "how to connect to the KVM server to control" this article.

Add a kvm host

Select WebVirtMgr-> Addd Connection on the home page

Because of the TCP mode connection, the IP address of the kvm host is filled in at both Label and FQDN / IP, and the user name and password are of course the account created by the saslpasswd2-a libvirt command.

Create a storage pool

If you have manually created a virtual machine before, the storage pool can be automatically identified here. If you have not created a virtual machine, you need to add a storage pool in the management system to add ISO mirror volumes and directory type volumes respectively (please create the corresponding directory on the server first)

Create an interfaces network card

Since the virtual network card br0 has been manually created before, it has been shown in the system. If not, you need to manually create a bridge network card interfaces- > New Interfaces.

Create a network pool

Create a bridged network based on interfaces (default is NAT mode)

Create a virtual machine

Before creating a virtual machine, make sure that you have uploaded the iso installation file to the created ISO image volume, and you need to create an image (virtual disk file) of the virtual machine in the storage pool, as shown below:

(1) Virtual machine instance-> New Instance-> "custom install" user customized to create virtual machine.

(2) set the number of CPU cores and memory capacity according to your own needs.

(3) disk mirroring and network pool select the mirror and bridging network you just created.

Virtual machine startup and system installation

(1) the newly created virtual machine needs to set the ISO file read when the system is installed. Configure-> Media, select the corresponding ISO file, and then start the virtual machine in the next step Power-> start.

(2) after booting the virtual machine, you can connect through the local VNC client software or directly install the system with the web version console of WebVirtMgr.

If there is an error in clicking on the console or cannot connect, you can first check whether the following port is listening (below 5900 is the VNC connection port of the virtual machine). After viewing the error log, the webpage console configures webvirtmgr-console startup in the Supervisor daemon, so you can check whether the configuration is incorrect.

[root@kvm7 console] # netstat-tunlp | grep qemutcp 00 0.0.0.0 grep qemutcp 5900 0.0.0.0 LISTEN 4335/qemu-kvm above is all the contents of the article "how to connect to the KVM server to control using TCP".
