Actually, the installation and configuration of sendmail is very simple:

(1) install sendmail software package

Method 1: rpm-ivh sendmail installation package

Method 2: yum-y install sendmail.

(2) change the address in the configuration file sendmail.cf of sendmail according to the actual situation. In general, change the following Addr to 0.0.0.0. The default is 127.0.0.1:

O DaemonPortOptions=Port=smtp,Addr=0.0.0.0, Name=MTA

Tip: if you have other requirements for sendmail at work, you need to adjust them according to the specific situation.

(3) restart sendmail service: service sendmail restart

In this way, sendmail can be used.
