The dirs command is used to display stack records in the Shell directory. Displays all directories in the current Shell command stack without options, with the newly added directories on the left.

Syntax format: dirs [parameters]

Common parameters:

-c deletes all records in the directory stack-l displays the directories in the stack in full format. When the user host directory is displayed, list the full path, instead of "~"-n displays the nth directory from the right (n counts from 0) + n displays the nth directory from the left (n counts from 0)-p lists many records in the stack as one record per row-v lists all records in the stack as one record per row, and adds a sequence number to each line (numbered from 0)

Display the records in the Shell directory stack:

[root@linuxcool ~] # dirs

Displays the contents of the Shell directory stack, with one record per line:

[root@linuxcool] # dirs-p

Display the contents of the Shell directory stack, one record per line, and add a serial number:

[root@linuxcool] # dirs-v
