When I receive a new mysql database, I need to figure out the following:

1. The version of the database, character set, storage engine used, whether master-slave replication, high availability, backup, check the recent slow query log and ERR log, the amount of data in the table, how many tables are there, how big the table is, etc.

2. Check what triggers and stored procedures are currently available in Mysql.

3. Check whether the database has partition tables

Select TABLE_NAME from information_schema.PARTITIONS where PARTITION_NAME is not null

4. Execute show processlist for a while to see how much concurrency Mysql can have and what kind of sql it is.

5. Run the following tools to see the read-write ratio of mysql, pay attention to disk read, full join full table scan, operating system environment, etc.

6. See what users there are in the database

Select host,User,Password from mysql.user

7. System mount parameters

Mount-o noatime,nobarrier / dev/sda1/ data

8. See if numa is closed

9. Check whether the scheduling policy is deadline or noop.

10. Kernel parameters

Vim / etc/sysctl.confvm.swappiness
