This article is suitable for uninstalling an Oracle database or client in a Windows environment. This method is generally common in windows with various versions of Oracle uninstall. Note that if the client and server are on the same server and you only want to uninstall one of them, the following methods are not recommended.

First, stop all services related to ORACLE.

Use cmd to run the services.msc command to open the service and stop all services related to Oracle:

Use deinstall.bat script to uninstall

Double-click to execute the deinstall.bat script in the deinstall directory under oracle_home to begin unloading. (the default location of the script is generally located in the deinstall directory under oracle_home. Example location: d:\ app\ user\ product\ 12.1.0\ dbhome_1\ deinstall\ deinstall.bat)

Tip: there will be inquiries during operation, enter all the way or select y by default.

Delete the contents of the registry.

Run the regedit command with cmd to open the registry and delete the following:

Delete all items prefixed with EnumOra and Ora,Orcl under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT.

Delete all items prefixed with oracle under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ Software\ Microsoft\ Windows\ CurrentVersion\ Explorer\ MenuOrder\ Start Menu\ Programs.

Delete the ORACLE entry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SOFTWARE

Delete all entries with Oracle under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SOFTWARE\ ODBC\ ODBCINST.INI except the Microsoft ODBC FOR ORACLE registry key.

Delete the items prefixed with Oracle and OraWeb under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SYSTEM\ CurrentControlSet\ Services.

Delete all items prefixed with oracle under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SYSTEM\ CurrentControlSet\ Services\ Eventlog\ Application.

Fourth, delete the environment variable.

Delete the value that contains Oracle in the environment variable CLASSPATH,PATH.

Delete ORACLE-related files and directories

Delete the F:\ app directory

Delete the C:\ Progrm Files\ Oracle directory

Tip: if you encounter a directory that cannot be deleted, you can restart your computer and then delete it.
