In a twinkling of an eye, it has been ten years of software development for business systems, from full of passion at the beginning to doing projects one after another over and over again, although I try my best to encapsulate some commonly used code or patterns into the framework. But still feel endless repetition, and it is this endless repetition gradually engulfing my enthusiasm for work.

I realized that although I love software development, but the current business system software development model, so that we are stuck in the swamp, gradually no life.

After doing something, or stepping on a hole, if we can extract the reusable code into the framework for more people to call, instead of reinventing the wheel; if we can solidify the experience we have gained in the project into an ability in the platform, and then empower platform users, so that everyone's starting point is standing on the shoulders of giants.

If such a mechanism can be formed, the repetition of boredom and redundancy in our work will be greatly reduced, and it will greatly provide work quality and efficiency, resulting in a new software research and development model.

The software research and development model under the premise of this technology can also greatly promote the rapid development of the business system, because the cycle of developing a software is greatly reduced, and even real-time feedback can be achieved. Business experts no longer have to put forward what they think is a very simple requirement, but see a function that is far from expected a month later; instead, they can raise requirements, develop and confirm at the same time.

As a result, I quit my job and began to build such a platform, which is completely open source, and is eagerly expected to attract talents from all walks of life to form an active community.

The name of the platform is BlockLang, or block language, which means to use this "block language" to assemble business systems like building blocks.

BlockLang believes that "everyone can assemble the right software according to their own needs."

BlockLang is committed to creating a software cloud of "letting a hundred flowers blossom and birds contend" to implement software-defined software.
