When an error is prompted when it is opened, please record the error line number, such as 795 in the following figure

Step reading

Locate the C:\ Windows\ PolicyDefinitions\ inetres.admx file and back up inetres.admx.

Open inetres.admx with notepad. If you can't see the line number, please remove the checkmark before notepad-formatting-automatic line wrapping. Press the shortcut key ctrl+g and enter the error line number to navigate to the number of error lines.

Deletes the content from the beginning of the error line to the end of the node.

[node:] start to be a node

Save the modified inetres.admx file, replace C:\ Windows\ PolicyDefinitions\ inetres.admx, and then reopen the Group Policy Editor to see if there is an error.

If you report an error, edit the inetres.admx file to locate the error line, delete the error line until the error line is not reported, and so on.

This method is troublesome and needs to be done repeatedly, but the advantage is that it does not affect the setting of Internet Explorer or Internet in the group policy. This method is recommended.
