For some reason, when the local computer name needs to be changed, an error "general network error" is found, so that the change cannot be successful, as shown in the following figure:

Solution:

Right-click the network icon in the lower right corner, click "Open Network and Internet Settings", and then click the "Network reset" button at the bottom of the open page. After the reset, the changes can be completed, but the computer needs to be restarted to take effect. As shown in the following figure:
