Simulation steps

(1) initialize the CloudSim package

(2) create a data center

(a) create a list of hosts

(B) create a PE list

(C) create a PE and add it to the PE list created in the previous step, and its ID and MIPS can be set

(d) create and add hosts to the list of hosts with configuration parameters such as ID, memory, bandwidth, storage, PE, and virtual machine allocation policies (time or space sharing)

(e) create data center feature objects to store data center attributes, including architecture, operating system, machine list, allocation strategy (time, space sharing), time zone, and costs (memory, external memory, bandwidth and processor resources)

(F) finally, create a data center object whose main parameters are name, characteristic object, virtual machine allocation policy, storage list for data simulation, and scheduling interval.

(3) create a data center agent

Data center agent is responsible for coordinating users and service providers and deploying service tasks according to users' QoS requirements in cloud computing.

(4) create a virtual machine

Set the parameters of the virtual machine, including ID, user ID, MIPS, CPU, memory, bandwidth, external memory, virtual machine monitor, scheduling policy, and submit them to the task agent

(5) create a cloud task

Create a cloud task with specified parameters, set the user ID of the task, and submit it to the task agent. In this step, you can set information such as the number and length of cloud tasks to be created.

(6) in this step, call the custom task scheduling policy and assign tasks to the virtual machine.

(7) start the simulation

(8) Statistical results after the end of simulation
