1.1 Asset Master data (complete unwatermarked pdf version obtained by Wechat ficodk) 1.1.1 Overview

Asset master data, also known as asset card, is the basic unit for an enterprise to manage assets, recording all the business that occurs in the whole life cycle of fixed assets from entering the enterprise to withdrawing from the enterprise. it contains complete asset information such as name, capitalization date, department, depreciation conditions and so on.

A complete asset may be made up of multiple parts, which can be purchased from different suppliers. The complete asset is called the main asset, and each component is called the sub-asset. It has its own capitalization date and independently calculates depreciation, but it must have the same depreciation conditions as the main asset. As shown in figure 8: 20, computers and printers, as a complete master asset, contain two sub-assets, computers and printers, which are different since the month of purchase, but with the same depreciation conditions. * the number after the dash line is the sub-asset number.

Creating an asset master data means that you have created an asset with a sub-asset number of 0, and you must create a master asset before you can create a subasset for that master asset.

Select asset classification and company code, modify the number of similar assets, the default is 1, if changed to 2, the system will automatically create two asset master data. If the coding range set in the asset classification is an internal code, the system automatically assigns a pipeline code to the asset, otherwise the asset number needs to be specified manually.

Enter into the "General" label.

Figure 8-22

? Account location code: this field comes from the asset classification and cannot be modified, and is used to identify the account corresponding to the asset business, that is, "account determination" introduced in the section "8.2 basic configuration".

? Inventory number: the internal identification number of an asset, which is usually used to print a bar code and paste it on the asset.

? Quantity: if you use one asset master data to manage multiple identical assets, you can use this field, and in most cases you do not need to set the quantity.

? Capitalization date: that is, the date on which an asset reaches its usable state, is recognized as an asset in the balance sheet and begins to depreciate. The acquisition date is automatically written to this field when the asset acquisition business is executed, or it can be set manually when the asset master data is created, and the date can be used automatically when the asset acquisition business is executed later. Capitalized assets cannot change the capitalization date.

? Inactive date: this field will be updated automatically when the asset is scrapped, or can be set manually, and the asset with the inactive date will no longer be reflected in the report related to the asset value.

? Date of first acquisition: the same asset may be acquired multiple times. Here is the date of first acquisition.

Switch to the "time-related" tab to set which cost objects such as asset depreciation are posted to, such as cost centers. Cost objects are managed based on time periods. For example, if an asset was used by different departments last year and this year, you can set different cost centers for the two time periods. The system automatically creates time intervals 1900.01.01 to 9999.12.31 when creating asset master data, and you can modify or create new intervals.

? Depreciation code: sets the method of depreciation calculation, such as using the straight line method or the declining balance method.

? Useful life / period: the time span of depreciation of assets, for straight-line depreciation, monthly depreciation = (capitalized value-salvage value) / depreciation months. * depreciation months = useful life * 12 + period.

? General depreciation start: generally, this field does not need to be filled in manually, and the system will automatically calculate the depreciation start date based on the capitalization date and period control of the asset.

Click the Save button when the input is complete, and if you check the correct system prompt message such as "Asset 1030000000 0 has been created".

Enter to enter the sub-asset master data maintenance screen.

The depreciation condition of the sub-asset is consistent with that of the main asset and cannot be modified.

Based on the storage level and replication control in the screen format rules, the system copies the fields of the main asset to the sub-asset and determines the field status. Please refer to the description of the screen format rules in the section "8.3.6 related configuration".

* for instructions on other fields of the sub-asset, please refer to the "8.3.3 create Master Asset" section.

Maintain the asset master data screen format rules, that is, the input status of each field.

? Field status: it is divided into four states: required (that is, required), optional, no (that is, hidden), and displayed.

? Level: contains three levels: classification (that is, asset classification), major number (that is, main asset number), and subnumber (that is, sub-asset number). Control the storage level of each field, and you can select one or more levels. for example, if the storage level of "Overview 1" includes a major number and a subnumber, the asset names will be stored in the master data of the main asset and the sub-asset, that is, the main asset and the sub-asset can have different names.

? Replication: when copying asset master data, controls whether the values of each field are copied to the new asset.
