Sudo touch / usr/share/applications/matlab.desktop

3 Edit Shortcut

Sudo gedit / usr/share/applications/matlab.desktop

5 start matlab

You can see the shortcut in the following folder. Copy to the desktop and double-click to start it.

/ usr/share/applications/matlab.desktop

6 if you encounter a prompt no writting permission on directory: home/xxx/.matlab

Delete the folder and start OK again.

Sudo rm-rf / home/liangnn/.matlab
